Armstrong, William
(1822-1914)He was born in Dublin on july 28, 1822 .He died in Toronto on june 9, 1914. He is renowned for his sketches and his watercolors paintings. He immigrated in Toronto in 1851. Upon his arrival, he worked for the railway companies . During his travels in Great Lakes he produced watercolours paintings on indians life and landscapes on oil paintings. Member of RCA society. Public collections:Art Gallery of Ontario, Mackenzie Art gallery, National Art Gallery of Canada, Thunder Bay Historical Museum society, Mackensie Art Gallery, Saskatchewan. This refined artwork was painted nearly 1871.
