(1924-2001)Marcelle Ferron was born 29 january 1924 in Louiseville, Quebec. She died 19 november 2001 in Montreal. Refus Global signatory. Member of Automatists group in Canada. Exhibitions: Two solos exhibitions at Musée d'Art Contemporain de Montréal, 1970 and 2000. Paul-Emile Borduas Award, 1983. Her works can be found in major collections as National Gallery of Canada, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Stedelijk Museum,Amsterdam. Painting provenance: Galerie Agnès Lefort.
