Winter, William
(1909-1996)Born in Winnipeg, august 27, 1909. He died in Great Britain in 1996. He studied under Lemoine Fitzgerald at Winnipeg Art School. His subjects are mostly portraits and landscapes. He was painter, illustrator, graphist artist and muralist. Many exhibitions at Roberts Gallery of Toronto and Walter Klinkhoff Gallery of Montreal. Collections: National Gallery of Canada, Vancouver Art Gallery, Kensington Art Gallery.
